New Connections
Points of View GalleryGroup showPoints of View Artists is showing its first exhibit of 2021 beginning on May 24. We are so glad to be back and making New Connections with our experience and art and sharing these with the public. We hope you can stop by to join us as we emerge from the long year of isolation – Reception: June 11 from 5 to 7 pm. Weekdays: 9 am to 5 pm from May 24 through June 25.
Some of the artwork on display can be seen below. Many of the images celebrate the return of spring and a hoped-for return to normal this summer. Judith Long’s monoprint Migrations imagines the return of alewives to spawn and nurture their young. Ed McCartan connects real nature to imagined nature in his two-part acrylic painting Open the Gate.
In Garden, Alan Mast provides a colorful image that evokes the warmth and blue skies of midsummer. Ed Morton echoes that scene with Garden Steps in Afternoon Sun. Nancy Marstaller reminds us of the return of our summer birds with Carolina Wren, while Carolyn Judson captures the delicate moment between winter and spring when her Beech Tree prepares to bud.
Other images reflect back on the ennui of 2020. Craig Snapp caught Cleocatra in Repose, while Barbara Snapp found beauty in solitude in her watercolor sketch Into the Sunset.
We hope you join us in renewing connections this June!
