Barbara Bean art at Robinhood Free Meetinghouse in Georgetown
Points of View GalleryFeaturing Barbara BeanSpeak Wilderness is a series of paintings and drawings by Points of View artist Barbara Bean at Georgetown's historic Robinhood Free Meetinghouse in June. This exhibit examines the works of artist/scientists Maria Sibylla Merian and Margaret Mee as well as modern contemporaries concerned with significant environmental issues. Bean's artwork is largely an imagined response to the growing outcry against the uncontrollable devastation of wilderness. The art will be on display in June and until July 15.
Opening reception and artist talk: June 8, 6:30 pm Friday June 8.
