Tiles and Beyond
Points of View GalleryFeaturing Carolyn JudsonPoints of View Artist Carolyn Judson is joined in the Garret Gallery by colleagues Cathy Bloom, Betsy Fear, and Nan Moran. All four artists will be showing colorful and evocative clay Tiles and Beyond.
These four artists have turned their creativity toward making unique tiles, resulting in an imaginative exhibit. Some works are three-dimensional small sculptures that can be hung on walls. One example is the gas station created by Carolyn Judson and pictured to the left. It even includes a real matchbox car!
Betsy Fear has created a tile that shows a cottage in Ireland. Other tiles recreate people, animals and places from the artists' experiences. The small scale creates a magical sense of looking into a miniature scene from which the viewer can imagine and create a story.
Artists Reception: Friday, July 12; 5:00 to 7:30 pm
Tiles and Beyond will be on display from July 1 through August 2.
